Are You Truly Prepared?

“The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.” (Proverbs 21:31)

As men taking the leadership of ourselves and our homes it is good for us to be planners. Wise men make preparations and do not simply leave things to be what they will be. There is a proactiveness that should be present in men, especially with families.

However, no matter how much we plan and prepare, we need to understand that true safety is only found in the Lord. If we would make true preparations in our lives we must be sure to include the preparation of prayer. Seek to involve the Lord in your planning for He is the One who has the power to see every situation through, even the ones we have not thought of yet.

Men prepare your horses for the battle and set everything in order, but as you do so, seek the Lord for in Him is found true safety.
